Groton High School Tennis Team

Tennis has been a lifelong passion. Ever since picking up a racket in 2nd grade, I have learned that a match is never over until you give up. Representing Groton’s fantastic Tennis program throughout my 4 years has been a treat. The team’s ups and downs have taught me so much about handling tough losses, being courteous in victory, and the joy of being on a team.

Winter Running

Grades 11-12

Winter Running not only did wonders for my fitness and endurance, it exposed me to the beauty of Groton’s forestry and scenic snow-covered trails. As a non-competitive activity, I was really able to connect with peers I’d never spoken to and have deep conversations amid 7 mile runs.

Squash

Grades 9-10

One of the great things about coming to Groton was trying new things! I had never even heard of Squash when I arrived on campus, but soon it became one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had at Groton. The strategic nature of getting your opponent out of position taught me a lot about patience and seizing the right opportunities!
